Receives the fullness of ordination
A bishop receives the fullness of the Sacrament of Holy Orders. He is the head or Ordinary of the local church. The local area entrusted to him is called a diocese. A bishop is also a member of the episcopal college: this is all the bishops who, with the pope, guide the Church. Priests serve the community in various ways. WebbWe pray for all priests, that you will bless them with the fullness of your love, so that they may be faithful ministers of your word and sacraments, and lead your people in the way of salvation. Lord, hear us. We pray for all bishops, that we may be faithful to the great trust that has been handed to us.
